Died-Suddenlies and Serious Illness
Professional Observation from a Teacher

Dear Members of the Royal Commission
I am writing from a personal perspective to share my experiences during the NZ Covid-19 response 2021-2022.
I experienced the government response as a teacher/educator, as a pastor and as a farmer.
From an educational perspective it was a disaster and highlighted the vital sociological functions of school, particularly amongst a population least likely to be affected. My school is a higher decile school but the work and engagement attrition rate was high and little real effective learning was taking place, especially amongst more senior students unfortunately.
As a pastor it was equally problematic. The government policy of mandates and certificates was divisive of society and totally unnecessary. The elderly, in particular, lived in fear as a consequence of the hyped fear broadcasts which, we know now, contained a great deal of false information. On again, off again meeting ability was disruptive and resulted in many socially isolating and suffering alone as a consequence. This also led to the church body itself being confused about essentials and, more importantly, ethical behaviour in respect of human rights, medical dictatorship and misleading recommendations. Public worship became untenable for a period of time, essentially due to the governments confused mixed messages across a variety of businesses and organisations. As a pastor I have become acquainted with a number of euphemistic ‘died-suddenlies’ from otherwise healthy people as well as unexplained serious illness – the familial and sociological toll is appalling for those in connection with such people.
As a farmer supply chains were disrupted and getting stock away became problematic. Farming can be a solitary affair anyway, but every interface with others became problematic.
Personally, I nearly took the vaccine myself, it was my wife who wisely stopped me; I am eternally grateful for her strength of character. I remain unvaccinated now. Having been the recipient of many vaccines in my life, after this egregious intervention of government I will steadfastly resist any further recommendations or mandates as totally unacceptable, especially from a human rights perspective.
Based on these previous first-hand experiences I recommend the following for any future pandemic responses:
– Never, ever again should the NZ Bill of Rights be set aside by ill-informed government departments.
– The Neurenberg code and the Helsinki accord must be held above forced medication, particularly with unlicensed, untested novel gene-based drugs.
– Professor Doug Allen authoritatively stated that for every person who might have been saved from death by a lockdown, 141 others died as collateral damage, furthermore the UN stated that as a direct result 100 million people were plunged back into poverty – this is an unmitigated disaster of proportions not seen outside of war! Lockdowns should be expressly prohibited as a non-functional and punitive mitigation!
– Never again should unelected pharmaceutical influences be permitted to run such responses whilst deliberately restricting other treatments for their own benefit/rollout.
– Cognizance and compensation must be had for the hundreds of thousands who have been injured by these terrible medical interventions, including the inappropriate treatment and medication of the elderly in rest homes and hospitals.
– Doctor/patient relationship must never be blocked by government protocols, nor should government influence this relationship through medical governing bodies so that clinicians can no longer use their own judgement and recommendations. One size fits all prescribing is a medical nonsense!
– Egregiously, conflicts of interest, particularly financial should be identified and removed from all government advisors, and contrary views must be permitted and considered.
– Government control of the media in New Zealand is a crime against New Zealanders made worse by the fear-based behavioural psychology employed and shared by western governments across the western world during Covid – this is unacceptable and should be legislated against immediately.
– Too many businesses have been destroyed, elderly psychologically abused, students disenfranchised, and New Zealanders further impoverished for generations to come as a consequence of ill-advised following external influences – this should never ever be permitted again.
– The global ambitions of the WHO which were partly to blame for this disaster should, and must, be resisted at a government policy level.
As a consequence of the inconsistent and disingenuous responses during Covid, many New Zealanders, especially the younger adults, no longer trust the health authorities or the politicians to effectively lead this country in any form of pandemic. If this is to be rectified ever, then truth is an absolutely necessary prerogative. Cover-ups, or avoidance of issues will now only further exacerbate an already sorry state of national culture and belief. Avoiding uncomfortable truth has become a national pastime and this must end, in the media, in politics and in the institutions that clumsily followed along during a very sad and dark time of New Zealand history.
An essential component of moving forward is to identify the unacceptable censorship during Covid, hold those accountable for decisions that were based on falsehood, all information and hearing to be transparently open to the public, effectively and diligently identify those injured and killed by treatments, examine legal instruments that led to injustice against lawful protest and opposing opinion, identify why political representation and accountability disappeared, identify the egregious role of most ‘professional bodies’ who made no effort to properly represent all professionals in their organisation and, finally, ensure proper compensation be a serious component of rebuilding trust.
Thank you for including and using my feedback.
Your faithfully
