I have not worked in the health system since the mandates. Recently I met a midwife friend at a social event who I had not seen for about two years. I asked her about work and she said that it’s extremely stressful because the unit is busy but they are very short-staffed. It’s always been a busy unit, but she said there are a lot of high needs women and babies now. I asked her why and she replied that the best way to understand it is to follow the Pfizer Reports at DailyClout.io. I was surprised that she knew about this, and she said it is common knowledge amongst the midwives and doctors, including the specialist doctors who are far busier than usual. She said that “we are seeing increased rates of ‘everything’”, including miscarriages (before 20 weeks gestation), stillbirths (after 20 weeks), placental abnormalities, congenital deformities, post-partum haemorrhages and large clots. She also said that “it’s the talk of the tearoom”, but threats from the midwifery and medical councils mean they are restricted to whispering amongst each other. When I told her about the NZDSOS Truth Project she declined to submit her story but agreed to my sharing what she had told me as long as she isn’t identified.
