The Risks Were Never Explained

Five years on from the coercion used to impose the vaccination mandates on the NZ population, I among tens of thousands of others, am still suffering the ongoing effects of the inadequately tested Covid 19 vaccination.

My health has been seriously impacted by my reaction to the first 2 doses of the Comirnaty-1 vaccine given on 24/07/2021 and the second on 20/09/2021. Within 3 or 4 days of the second I found myself sitting suddenly in the aisle of a supermarket, struggling not to faint and then was assisted by staff into the office till my nausea and vertigo abated. This need to find a safe seat was only the first of several weeks of having to be very careful. I then developed muscular pains and increasingly severe headaches. Having researched the effects of this vaccination on overseas individuals, I requested blood tests from my GP but these were negative for auto-immune factors and rheumatology factors.

However, in late March 2022, I became ill enough with severe pain to go to an after hours medical centre. Blood tests were taken and I was phoned to come back urgently the next day as I had developed, Giant Cell Arteritis which could result in my suddenly losing my sight. For this risk I was started on 65mg Prednisone and referred back to my GP who had never had to manage someone on such a high dosage. I was given a biopsy of the temporal artery at the hospital which was inconclusive. I was given pain killers and endless instructions to get the high prednisone dosage down with no guidance on how this was to be done safely.  A second test by a newly appointed Danish consultant, who arrived with specialised equipment, confirmed the diagnosis of GCA.  I was fortunate to have come under the care then of this rheumatologist from Denmark who confirmed I now had developed a cluster of autoimmune and rheumatological conditions. He left me with a detailed written titration process to safely reduce the prednisone dosage.  

My own doctor was reluctant to discuss the link between what was happening to my normally very healthy body and the vaccination, and only allowed himself to nod when I quoted research from Canada, Europe, England and the USA. He was clearly worried about getting involved with CARM and risks to his livelihood from the punitive approach by the medical council which seems to be following the lead given by Jacinda Ardern & Ashley Bloomfield from the Pulpit of Truth. I also developed bowel problems which another Tauranga doctor said were caused by the prednisone. Over the next 2 years I shed 13 kg of weight but at my request tested negative for cancer.  Two GPs, one in Tauranga and another here in Auckland told me my problems were due to the stress of moving cities. Three years later I still have been unable to reduce my daily prednisone below 2.5 mg daily or I will get severe muscular pain and my vertigo returns. These lingering reactions have made it impossible to even contemplate a return to casual work. However, my bowel has never returned to its normal healthy function and at the end of October 2024 I was an acute admission to North Shore Hospital where I underwent a five hour operation to remove sections of a badly ulcerated bowel due to diverticulitis. At no time did the doctors prescribing prednisone since 2022 describe the dangerous effects it could have.

Based on my personal experiences I ask that all medical decisions be explained honestly, that vaccinations are received voluntarily, and alternative more holistic interventions offered. I believe that the risks and benefits of medical interventions must be transparent.

I also believe that simple and functional support systems must be established and fully funded by the government instead of leaving it to volunteers and ethical health practitioners.
