A Suppressed Medical Truth: Hyperbaric Oxygen
Edward di Girolamo of HBOT News Network interviewed NZDSOS member Dr Peter Canaday in October 2022. HBOT share news & research, as well as personal interviews & stories from researchers, practitioners, and patients with experience in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).
Trained in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care medicine and radiology, with experience as a clinician, researcher and teacher, Dr Canaday co-founded a Hyperbaric Medicine Department in Denver, Colorado USA during the 1980s. This department remains operational today under the coordination of vascular surgeons.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) involves breathing 100% oxygen under pressure while in a hyperbaric chamber. It is effective against an extensive list of conditions involving tissue damage and inflammation. As with other treatments labelled “alternative”, HBOT competes against the pharmaceutical industry, who have become the custodian of so-called medical truth. It is therefore authorised for use in a limited number of conditions such as chronic non-healing wounds, osteomyelitis and osteonecrosis. Unapproved indications include Alzheimers, dementia and post-traumatic stress disorder.
A Renaissance of Medical Truth in Time for the Vaccine Injured
Divided into two parts, the interview with Dr Canaday challenges the current paradigm of medical truth, describing a growing body of evidence for HBOT as a renaissance. It has potential use in a range of conditions including possibilities for those with Long Haul Covid and Covid-19 vaccine injuries.
Dr Canaday outlines the suppression of HBOT over the past century since the Flexner Report helped to seal petrochemical industry control of medical education and clinical practice. Two minute documentary The Birth of Big Pharma explains how this happened, providing historical context for the increasingly aggressive control of medical practice, practitioners and research today.
Dr Pierre Kory writes extensively about the criminal levels of fraud and corruption in medical science at his substack, Medical Musings; and has spoken about it with eloquence. His own awakening to this was described by Dr Kory at the Better Way Conference in Austria in September. Dr Tess Lawrie’s experience is explained well in her Letter to Andrew Hill.
Dr Canaday provides a ray of hope in recognising that the extreme levels of scientific suppression executed throughout this pandemic have raised awareness of the labyrinthine conflicts of interest which many in science and medicine were previously oblivious to. There is a clear need to dismantle the current ownership of medical truth and return science and medicine to their rightful place amongst democratic society.
The interview with Dr Canaday is available as Part 1 (19 minutes) and Part 2 (23 minutes). He eloquently fuses the topics of HBOT and other “alternative” (non-pharmaceutical) therapies with the suppression and politicisation of medicine and science, the historic evolution of this crisis, and his personal experiences since Covid-19, including the fight for his medical license through the NZ judicial system.
