Statement from NZDSOS on Recent Court Case: NZDSOS v. MCNZ
New Zealand Doctors Speaking Out with Science (NZDSOS) recently participated in a critical High Court case to challenge the Medical Council of New Zealand’s Guidance Statement issued in the context of the c-19 pandemic. This court case, held on 23-24 September in Wellington, marks a significant moment in our ongoing efforts to uphold medical ethics, patient rights, and informed consent for all New Zealanders.
The court case focused on several core issues:
- Medical Autonomy and Ethics: We challenged the Medical Council’s directive that all doctors must be vaccinated and must promote the benefits of the covid-19 vaccine while prohibiting ‘anti-vaccination messaging’. We argued that the Guidance Statement was used as a Standard that doctors would be required to adhere to, but it had not gone through the usual process to create a true Standard.
- Scientific Rigour and Freedom of Speech: The case highlighted the need for a clear definition of essential terms such as “anti-vaccination messaging,” “misinformation,” and “evidence-based medicine.” We believe that the lack of agreed clear definitions has led to the unjust silencing and censorship of healthcare professionals who raise legitimate concerns based on scientific evidence.
- Public and Professional Accountability: Affidavit evidence revealed that the Medical Council and Dental Council regarded the covid-19 vaccine as zero-risk, dismissing any contrary evidence presented by concerned doctors. This stance has far-reaching implications for public trust in healthcare and the integrity of medical oversight bodies.
- Off-Label Medicines: We also asked the judge to confirm and uphold the ability of doctors to prescribe off-label medicines using their professional clinical judgement.
We are awaiting the court’s decision and understand that it may take several months. Regardless of the outcome, NZDSOS remains committed to advocating for:
- Transparent and Honest Communication: Ensuring that all medical interventions, including vaccines, are discussed openly, with both benefits and risks clearly communicated to the public.
- Medical Freedom and Informed Consent: Upholding the right of every individual to make informed decisions about their health without coercion or undue influence.
- Scientific Integrity: Promoting a robust and open scientific debate where evidence can be scrutinised and discussed without fear of retribution.
The absence of mainstream journalists at the court appearance of doctors challenging their regulator is noteworthy. This situation underscores the critical importance of transparency and accountability in the healthcare sector. It invites a thoughtful examination of the media’s role in reporting such significant matters.

The stance of the Medical and Dental Councils in “regarding the covid-19 vaccine as zero-risk” and “dismissing any contrary evidence” is frankly disgraceful. Their attitude has caused at least THIS well-educated 74 year old to avoid on-the-ground consultation of either profession since the covid scam started. And sadly, I see no likelihood that my total mistrust of the health system will change until both Councils are disestablished. They need to be replaced with individuals who are both scientifically educated enough and open-minded enough to consider the now screaming evidence that these particular “vaccines” were never properly tested and have turned out to be neither safe nor effective. I sincerely hope the judge in this case will eventually make whatever ruling is necessary to facilitate this outcome.

This 82-year old immigrant can’t see that those members of the Medical and Dental Councils will give up easily the power that they are wielding in their cushy, well-remunerated jobs.
It’s also very unlikely that the NZ judiciary will come to the party by taking an honest and impartial stance, as similar other cases have shown in the past. I’m afraid that the whole system has become so politicised that it has become completely rotten. So better not to rely on the judges’ impartiality in these cases….
I admire and wholeheartedly support NZDSOS’ efforts and perseverance and their doctors’ willingness to pursue these matters even at the cost of many aspects of their own life.

I did not know about this case but if I had I would have got you to ask the Medical Council why they ignored the emergency use authorisation warning that was printed on every vaccine box. This warning is proof the vaccine carried unknown risks and should never have been mandated. A photo of a vaccine box showing this warning was published by Stuff media but they did not even question it at the time.
I can’t help thinking the judge will side with whatever the political expedient is at the time, as did the judge in with the teachers court case after spending a year in deliberation. To go against the narrative will open a can of worms too big to contemplate, no judge will take that leap upon themselves.
Yes, I must agree with you Rob in thinking that that NZ judge will rule on the side of the ruling NZ Government.
For a NZ Judge to come out on the side of the NZ Doctors SOS would create some real problems for members of Parliament and high position public servants, and for those people who are involved today in the NZ medical profession.
If we look back in NZ history regarding the Air NZ Aircraft inquiry into that 1989 South Pole Air NZ flight, and the Judge in that case, he made the correct judgement based on the evidence presented to him, and he was hated here in NZ for doing that.
Also remember that the 318 NZ Police who were dismissed because they said no to the mRNA injection, and had intern asked the Government if they could carry out a criminal investigation into the mRNA injection.
The NZ Government was quick to say “NO Way in Hell” are you lot going to carry out that investigation, and Pfizer had in pass time been found to be guilty in a serious fraud case in a USA Court, why would a NZ government trust their word?
We need to make that judge feel uncomfortable by force of numbers. It seems to work for other groups.

I’d also be asking the judge, was he aware that the then Health minister, Hipkins had emails detailing the known risks and severe side effects way back when this poison was rolled out? He Knew it was dangerous, and let the Gumbyment keep pushing this and killing goodness knows how many innocent Kiwi’s. Thankfully our Hero Barry Young blew the lid off that.
We will win, we will get the truth out there and I hope we do make those who pushed this, the most dangerous vaccine in history on us accountable!
Could someone please clarify if the Medical Council and Dental Council are completely independent to NZ or do they answer to international influence as in a board of directors or an overarching global controller?

I’m An Australian,more specifically a Victorian resident,and it has always struck me how generally uniformly bad was the reaction of governments around the world.
It seems Sweden was the only enlightened country.
Why was the medical profession so complicit and/or gullible if it is so science and ethically based?
The decisions were not scientifically based. If they were they would have rejected the “Totally safe” narrative on the basis of inadequate safety data on the Material Safety Data Sheets of 2 key ingredients. On the ingredients I studied there was very little data on the chemical properties and reactivity of the 2 Artificial Lipid Complexes (ALC’s) and Toxicological Data was totally missing in both cases. On that basis I could not give my informed consent and therefore did not take the jab and neither did most of my family. BTW, I used to write MSDSes for Animal Health, Plant Protection products, and Chemical cleaning solutions for Food and Dairy industries. So in my view as a scientist true science was not followed.
