Weekly SOS: NZDSOS on BSA Complaints Form – Billboards, Truth, and Health Freedom

We and our colleagues face disciplinary action for practicing ethical medicine: advocating for informed consent, questioning official narratives, pointing out harm, and prescribing for the benefit and wellbeing of patients. The Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) has abandoned its duty to protect patient safety in favour of silencing dissent.

This isn’t healthcare regulation. It’s intimidation and censorship that harms patients.

While the MCNZ is entangled in this global mesh of control, the doctors of New Zealand are not free to practice medicine in the best interests of their patients. It seems to be dancing to the tune of self-appointed international bodies influenced by the pharmaceutical industry.

Is this who you want regulating your doctor and being present in the consultation room (along with Heidi, the AI notetaker)?

But here’s what the MCNZ doesn’t expect. Every disciplinary hearing strengthens our resolve. Every silenced doctor creates more supporters. Every attempt at censorship proves we’re onto something.

BSA Lists NZDSOS as ‘Broadcaster’ on Complaints Form

Now the Broadcasting Standards Authority has entered the picture. The action of the BSA has been compared by Foreign Minister Winston Peters to “Soviet-era Stasi censorship”, after it deemed it had jurisdiction over Sean Plunket and his online show The Platform.

Online sleuths discovered NZDSOS listed as a ‘broadcaster’ in the drop-down box on their Complaints page until it was hastily removed this morning after major pushback this week. The question is: why?

We’re not television. We’re not radio. We’re doctors discussing medicine and health policy and standing up against a system which wishes to silence us. This coordinated targeting by the BSA with its quasi-judicial powers, to order people off the air or internet, should concern every New Zealander who values open, honest and respectful dialogue.

Interestingly, the National Library of New Zealand archived our website in 2021 as historically significant. The government simultaneously blocks access to our content in schools and libraries as an ‘advocacy group’ while preserving it for posterity!

What we’re saying matters. That’s why the state is desperate to control who hears our urgent calls to action.
