Evidence of harm on multiple fronts is staring us in the face, but health officials in this country continue to ignore it. For instance we would love to be able to ask these officials what they think is causing the autism epidemic.
This week, US health authorities announced comprehensive autism research using gold standard scientific methods with no areas as taboo.
The announcement addressed the dramatic rise in autism rates and committed to investigating environmental factors including paracetamol use during pregnancy and vaccination schedules.
This validates exactly what NZDSOS has been advocating. But while the US commits to transparent investigation, New Zealand is still in denial.
The Evidence on Autism
In the US, autism rates exploded from 0.7 per 10,000 children in 1970 to 1 in 31 today. In some regions, it’s 1 in 12 boys. According to Autism NZ, autism affects about 3% of our population.
Better diagnosis doesn’t explain epidemic-level numbers. Urgent acknowledgement and action is required.
What we documented in May is now acknowledged internationally. The systematic suppression of vaccine safety research. The persecution of doctors asking questions. The dismissal of parental concerns.
For decades, many doctors would have recommended caution with any drug during pregnancy, including paracetamol. Yet our health authorities promoted experimental covid vaccines to pregnant women with claims of “zero risk.”
When established drugs require caution but experimental treatments get blanket recommendations, pharmaceutical industry capture is obvious.
Dr Alanna Ratna: Public Support Proves Silencing Doctors Is Wrong
Last week we posted about Dr Alanna Ratna, a doctor who has not practised medicine for 19 years, who has been ordered by the High Court to pay costs of almost $54,000 to the Medical Council New Zealand and Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.
The public response has been extraordinary: Over $55,000 raised in less than one week.
But there’s more. NZDSOS itself raised $106,000 in less than two weeks for our legal battles. This recent unprecedented support proves something the Medical Council didn’t expect.
Their strategy of picking off doctors to scare others has completely backfired. Instead of intimidation, they’ve revealed massive public support for ethical doctors who are prepared to speak out.
When healthcare providers risk everything to speak truth, New Zealanders recognise courage over compliance. Our position isn’t fringe – it’s defensible, evidence-based, and publicly backed.
