Breaching the Barricades to Investigate the Link Between Autism and Vaccines
Competing Epidemics
Society is being trained to believe the World Health Organization’s One Health ideology which focuses on infectious diseases as an urgent existential threat. Mass compliance with an ever-increasing schedule of child and adult vaccinations is required, as is the more recent introduction of severe measures such as societal “lockdowns”, behaviour compliance (social distancing, universal masking, use of digital identity tracking systems), and the culling of farm animals. All promoted as being for our safety, evidence for all of these measures is severely lacking and replaced in large part with propaganda.
Meanwhile an epidemic of neurological diseases is sweeping the western world. Childhood populations are experiencing neurodevelopmental disorders at alarmingly high rates, with autism topping the list. Amongst adult populations, the incidence of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimers and Parkinsons is increasing.
Determinants of Autism
On 27 October 2025 the McCullough Foundation published an 82-page systematic review of current evidence on the Determinants of Autism Spectrum Disorder, on the European preprint server Zenodo. The report identifies childhood vaccination as the most significant modifiable risk factor for autism. Clustering of doses during critical neurodevelopmental windows and a lack of research on the cumulative safety of the entire paediatric schedule are identified as urgent public health priorities.
Minor risk factors which can intersect with each other and with vaccine exposure leading to “immune dysregulation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and neuroinflammation, culminating in neurodevelopmental injury and regression in susceptible children“, include:
- maternal age over 35yo and paternal age over 40yo due to accumulated genetic mutations;
- prematurity before 37 weeks gestation;
- multiple inherited genes which can interact with environmental factors to increase risk;
- maternal health, especially inflammatory conditions in pregnancy causing immune activation;
- exposure to environmental toxicants in utero or in early childhood, such as air pollution, pesticides (especially glyphosate) and heavy metals (eg cadmium, lead, arsenic and mercury);
- pharmacological exposures in utero including anticonvulsants, antidepressants, opioids and acetaminophen (paracetamol);
- disruption of the gut microbiome which can impact neurodevelopment.
The report concludes by making an urgent call for “independent, longitudinal studies assessing the safety of the full cumulative pediatric vaccine schedule [to] guide future research and policy decisions aimed at mitigating the growing autism burden“.
Comparing the Health of Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Populations
A week after publication Dr McCullough and epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher spoke with Dr Tess Lawrie and Christof Plothe at the World Council for Health (WCH). Hulscher outlined the difference in health outcomes between unvaccinated and vaccinated populations in the tiny number of studies conducted with unvaccinated controls. Unvaccinated populations are shown to be far healthier with far less chronic disease, far less autism and far fewer neurodevelopmental disorders such as tics and ADHD (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder).
Seismic Shifts at the CDC
McCullough asked why the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as the agency responsible for vaccine safety, with a $9 billion budget and 12,000 employees, many of whom are appropriately skilled MDs and PhDs, have not been engaging in vaccine safety research. The topic was last investigated by CDC in 2004, meaning that 82% of the information published in the 2025 McCullough report is new. He called for CDC to replicate the McCullough Foundation and WCH work on vaccine safety research, including WCH’s September 2023 Safer to Wait Approach to Childhood Vaccines.
In an apparent response to these calls, and perhaps signaling a cultural shift since the controversial dismissal of CDC Director Susan Monarez followed by a walkout of at least four senior officials, the CDC website page made a seismic change on the topic of Autism and Vaccines on or around 19 November 2025. Previously the page claimed no evidence of a link between vaccines or their ingredients, and autism.
Today the updated page states that these claims are not evidence-based, announcing the launch of long-absent investigations into the causes of autism.
Ideology vs Evidence
As described by Dr McCullough, vaccine ideologues promote vaccines as the only solution to infectious disease, refuse to allow vaccines to be questioned or challenged, and deny and/or ignore those injured or killed by the products. No group suffers the pain of such alienation, more than parents of children whose lives are irrevocably altered, or who are killed, by serious adverse events.
With the exception of a few outliers, most doctors and health professionals have had no exposure to vaccine science other than what amounts to ideology generated by captured political bodies. In New Zealand the obvious ideologue is our Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC), with known financial conflicts of interest.
IMAC are partnered with the public-private partnership group Uniservices. Dedicated to a range of “innovations” in medical technology, digital technology, public health and social policy, among other research priorities, Uniservices’ budget doubled in 2022 to $40 million.
IMAC’s role is to promote universal vaccination including childhood, pregnancy, and special groups in New Zealand and many Pacific countries. Yet the American non-profit organisation Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) No-Placebo Chart shows that childhood vaccines have never been adequately tested for safety.
There is little doubt that vaccine experts at IMAC rely on information stemming from the eminent vaccinology text “Plotkin’s Vaccines“. Remarkably, when two of the co-authors were deposed by New York lawyer Aaron Siri, Dr Stanley Plotkin (in 2018) and Dr Kathryn Edwards (in 2020), to provide legal evidence for the safety of the products they research, neither could provide any relevant evidence. Although Dr Peter McCullough is speaking from a US perspective, NZDSOS agree entirely with his call for four steps in response to his systematic review.
- Rescind the 1986 Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, which gives legal immunity to vaccine makers who are consequently not required to conduct appropriate clinical trials. The New Zealand equivalent to this is Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), which uses taxpayer money to compensate treatment (vaccine) injuries but only if it can be proved to a ridiculous standard that the vaccine caused the problem which is nigh on impossible.
- Ban all vaccine mandates and requirements for school, military and employment.
- Suspend vaccine recommendations for all based on schedules and replace them with personalised recommendations based on individual circumstances determined via shared decision making between doctors and their patients, aka Informed Consent.
- Ban all forms of direct-to-consumer advertising of vaccines and other pharmaceutical products. New Zealand and the USA are the only western nations who allow this. The risks were clearly outlined in a 2016 statement by the Council of Medical Colleges in New Zealand.
In the last half-century autism rates have skyrocketed by 32,158%. The onus is on those who say vaccines do not cause autism, to determine what does. The McCullough Foundation and others are filling that information gap.
Autism can be a terrible burden, especially for parents who see their normally-developing children become lost to them. In severe cases, individuals are trapped in their own apparent hell of suffering, isolation and lifelong dependency.
Will the oft-repeated hypnotic mantra that vaccines represent the greatest advance in medicine be shown to be an ideological mania? Thank goodness for vaccine dogma heretics like McCullough, RFK Jr and all the heroic scientists before them whose work was so inconvenient for the medical-industrial complex.
