Remembering Those Affected and Standing Together for Truth and Justice

Since 2022, New Zealanders who care deeply about the people and future of this country have come together each November to mark Red Remembrance Day, which was born out of a deep need to remember and honour those injured by the covid-19 experimental injections, those who lost loved ones, and those whose lives were profoundly changed by the government’s covid-19 response and vaccine mandates. It was created to give voice to those who had been silenced, to acknowledge the suffering that so many continue to carry, and to ensure that this dark chapter in New Zealand’s history is neither forgotten nor swept aside.

For many, that time brought impossible choices, to comply with a novel medical intervention or lose their livelihoods, careers, professional registrations and, in some cases, their relationships and place in their communities. Others suffered serious vaccine injuries, while some lost loved ones. The stories must be heard, the suffering acknowledged, and the experiences brought further into the light.

We chose the colour red deliberately. Red for blood: blood spilt, blood clotted, blood sweated, blood ties broken. Red for the heart, for those broken and damaged, and those still needing to be mended. But also red for love – the love that makes it all so worthwhile. For our children, for each other, and for this land we call home.

Five years on, the need to remember has not diminished, nor has the need for truth, transparency and accountability. Developments such as the Allison Inquiry in Canada and the ongoing legal proceedings in the Netherlands remind us that these issues are receiving renewed attention internationally. The stories have not disappeared, and neither should the pursuit of answers and justice.

This year, we invite you to stand with us on Saturday 14 November 2026, at 11am. Take time to remember those who suffered, stand alongside those still living with the consequences, and help ensure their experiences are neither forgotten nor dismissed.

NZDSOS have prepared a handout for supporters to print and take along to gatherings, to use as a conversation starter, or share within their communities. We encourage everyone to keep these conversations open. Listening, asking questions and sharing information are important steps towards ensuring that what happened is neither dismissed nor repeated.

Red Remembrance Day is about more than looking back. It is about standing together, upholding informed consent, and continuing to call for accountability, justice and transparency.

Thank you for your ongoing support and remembrance,
The NZDSOS Team
