Struck off for Practicing Medicine – The MCNZ’s Unreasonable Crusade

The Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal has cancelled Dr Bruce Dooley’s medical registration.

The official story, carried dutifully by the mainstream press, paints him as a rogue doctor who encouraged “Omicron parties” and sold unapproved treatments. But as we have documented extensively at nzdsos.com, there is another story – one the tribunal did not want told.

What Really Happened

Dr Dooley, a successful US-trained Golden Bay GP with decades of experience, did what doctors have always done: he offered his professional opinion. When the government rolled out an experimental mRNA injection with a secret ingredient list, he suggested an alternative. He spoke about natural immunity, he prescribed an old Nobel Prize-winning medicine (ivermectin), and he advised patients that sunshine and vitamin D were less harmful than an injection whose contents the public was never allowed to see.

For this, he was hauled before a tribunal.

He did not attend as he was overseas and had got nowhere attempting to engage directly with the Medical Council. He was not represented. And in his absence, the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal secured his cancellation.

The Natural Immunity Argument: Basic Immunology, Vindicated by Gates and Fauci

Let us examine the central “offence” for which Dr Dooley was punished: suggesting that natural infection could confer immunity. By the way, he has an MS in virology and immunology.

The tribunal deemed this statement “inaccurate, misleading, and contrary to accepted medical practice.” Yet basic immunology tells us otherwise – and the very architects of the global pandemic response have conceded exactly what Dr Dooley said. And just recently, no less an authority on everything than vaccinologist PhD doctor Helen Petousis-Harris conceded at another colleague’s tribunal that indeed Dr Bernard Conlon’s evidence in support of his using vitamin D and zinc in covid infection had merit. 

How Natural Immunity Works

When the human body encounters a live virus through infection, it mounts a comprehensive, multi-layered immune response. This includes:

Innate immunity – The body’s first line of defence, including interferons and other signaling molecules that create a hostile environment for the virus. This system is triggered broadly and responds in real time.

Cellular immunity (T cells) – T cells recognise and destroy infected cells. They provide long-term surveillance and are critical for preventing severe disease. Natural infection generates a broad T cell response against multiple viral proteins – not just the spike protein.

Humoral immunity (B cells and antibodies) – B cells produce antibodies that neutralise the virus. Crucially, natural infection drives affinity maturation in B cells over time, creating durable, high-quality antibodies that adapt to viral variants.

Together, these systems create what immunologists call broad, durable, sterilising immunity in many individuals – protection that covers multiple viral targets and persists over time.

The Narrow Path of Vaccine-Induced Immunity

By contrast, the mRNA vaccines were designed around a single target: the spike protein. This is a narrow immune response. While it generated high initial antibody levels, it lacked the breadth of natural infection. It did not trigger the same interferon response nor establish the same robust T cell memory against multiple viral components.

And crucially, as we now know, it failed to stop transmission. Vaccinated individuals could still contract and spread the virus. The promised “ring of immunity” never materialised. What remained was a narrow, waning antibody response requiring repeated boosters which set the body up for immune under- or over- reaction – a model that suited pharmaceutical balance sheets very well but slammed public health.

Vindication from the Architects of the Pandemic Response

The irony is that the very figures who drove the vaccine-centric response have since admitted what Dr Dooley was punished for saying.

In a video that has since circulated widely, Bill Gates – a central figure in the global vaccine push, despite no medical qualifications – explicitly acknowledged that Omicron infection did a better job of building immunity than the vaccines did. Let that sink in: the man whose Foundation poured billions into vaccine development admitted, on the record, that natural infection was superior.

Then there is Dr Anthony Fauci. Before the pandemic, Fauci was asked by a patient whether she needed a flu shot. His response? She did not, because her recent influenza infection had already given her the “best immunity” she could get. Of note, the first doctor in this clip, Charles Hoffe was being prosecuted in Canada for reporting too many vaccine injuries. Suddenly his case was dropped, after assembling world class specialists and challenging the many conflicts of interest of the medical board’s experts.

The Horses’ Mouths

So the two most prominent voices in the Western pandemic response both affirmed, at different times, what Dr Dooley was punished for saying: that natural infection produces robust, effective immunity – and in many cases, superior immunity to vaccination alone. This was proven extensively in 2021.

If this was misconduct, then Gates and Fauci are guilty of the same. Yet they were celebrated, while Dr Dooley was destroyed.

The difference is simple. Gates and Fauci (currently both facing dates with accountability) were selling the narrative – and then the product. Dr Dooley was telling the truth to his patients.

The Unreasonable Grounds

Let us examine what Dr Dooley is actually accused of:

“Encouraging Omicron parties” – His actual statement, made in a local newspaper, was to ask why Omicron parties were not being considered for the low-risk population. This was a question rooted in immunology. Today, we know that Omicron infection provided broad, durable immunity to millions. The tribunal punished him for being ahead of the science – or rather, for refusing to lie until the official narrative caught up.

Selling ivermectin kits – Ivermectin has been used safely for decades. It won a Nobel Prize. Dr Dooley prescribed it to patients who sought it out, in his professional judgment, as a safer alternative to an experimental gene-tech injection with pages of documented adverse events. The tribunal called this a “clear disregard” for prescribing standards. We call it practicing medicine according to his oath: First, do no harm.

Undermining the public health response – This is the charge that reveals everything. The “public health response” was a campaign to inject the entire population with a trial drug whose long-term effects were unknown, whose contents were kept secret, and whose manufacturer was shielded from liability. Dr Dooley’s offence, just like his other persecuted NZDSOS colleagues, was offering a different path. That path did not endanger the public – it offered them a choice. And today, with vaccine injuries mounting and natural immunity vindicated by the very people who once denied it, that choice looks more reasonable with each passing day.

The Hidden Agenda: MCNZ’s Revenge

NZDSOS talks often about the conflicts and connections at the heart of NZ medical regulation. We complained that former chair Dr Curtis Walker was offered a big government job early on, to start after ‘guiding the profession’ through the Labour Government’s jab rollout. And the MCNZ website trumpets that lay member and current deputy chair Simon Watt is the lawyer who ‘negotiated’ Pfizer’s secret contract, including its indemnity. Of course one would expect him to want to crush any vaccine dissent and, especially, doctors promoting actual covid treatments like ivermectin.

So it is obvious to us that Dr Dooley’s real transgression was not medical. It was political.

As we have detailed on nzdsos.com, Bruce exposed the uncomfortable truth about who controls medical regulation in New Zealand and around the world. He discovered that the Medical Council of New Zealand does not operate independently. It is connected – through the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA) – to the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), a private American organisation based in Texas, and the WHO as we have written up here.

The FSMB has been operating since 1912, yet 99.9% of doctors have never heard of it. It is a private corporation that, through a web of international agreements, influences medical boards across the globe – including our own MCNZ.

Consider the connections Dr Dooley uncovered:

• The CEO of the MCNZ, Joan Simeon (who is not a doctor), served as Chair of IAMRA – the international arm of the FSMB.
• Dr Curtis Walker, ex-chair of the MCNZ, sat on an FSMB work group.
• Dr Rachelle Love, current Chair of MCNZ and Ms. Mereana Kim Ngarimu, former lay member of MCNZ, sit on the cultural safety working group of IAMRA.

These are not coincidences. They are the architecture of a captured profession.

Dr Dooley spoke publicly about these links. He appeared on podcasts, gave interviews, and named names. For that – for exposing the puppeteers behind the curtain – he was targeted.

The tribunal itself noted that as recently as February 2025, Dr Dooley appeared on podcasts making “disparaging comments about his regulator.” This was cited as evidence of his “lack of insight” and why his chance of rehabilitation was “remote at best.”

In other words: he continued to speak the truth about the MCNZ, so they finished the job.

No Representation, No Attendance

Dr Dooley did not attend his tribunal, being overseas and he rejected their jurisdiction over him anyway. He was not represented by legal counsel and so the MC’s ‘expert’ could go unchallenged. 

For a sole practitioner facing a well-funded, legally armed regulator, this is not evidence of guilt. It is evidence of a system designed to crush those who cannot afford to fight – or who have already concluded that the outcome was predetermined.

When a doctor is struck off in absentia, without counsel, with the regulator’s own connections exposed by that same doctor, the process demands scrutiny. Instead, the press uncritically reprinted the tribunal’s findings as fact.

What Was Really at Stake

Dr Dooley was not harming patients. Instead, he was offering them alternatives. He was exercising the clinical independence that every doctor used to be allowed. Like every one of the other 10 of us hauled through the tribunal, he was upholding the Hippocratic Oath in an environment where obedience to government messaging had replaced fidelity to patients.

The tribunal’s ruling speaks of “informed consent” as a fundamental tenet. Excuse us? The entire pandemic response was built on withholding informed consent – hiding the contents of the vials, concealing adverse event data, and removing the right to refuse without consequence.

Dr Dooley refused to participate in that system. For that, he has been destroyed.

A Man of Honour

As author Mary Hobbs wrote in her profile of Dr Dooley for this site:

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

By that measure, Dr Dooley stands taller than the regulators who pursued him. He is one of a rare breed of medical professionals who refused to trade their integrity for their pay packet. He stood in front of his patients to protect them, even when it cost him everything.

What Now?

Dr Dooley is struck off, the most demeaning punishment a doctor can face. He faces a costs order of $73,639. And the MCNZ continues to operate under the same foreign influence he exposed.

We have covered this case and the broader regulatory capture extensively. We have now called for the Medical Council to be replaced, and can state with confidence there is certain knowledge within it of the dangers of the covid jabs. So much for the internal unanimity that most doctors have presumed must exist, to see the very stern stick used against dissenters. 

When doctors are silenced, patients are harmed. Dr Bruce Dooley was not silenced because he was dangerous but because he was truthful – and because he named the hidden power structure behind New Zealand’s medical regulation.

Bruce, we stand with you. But not still for long, we all have important work to do.
