Phase 2 of NZ’s Covid Inquiry Needs YOUR Voice
The truth about the covid response has been buried for too long. Phase 2 is our chance to force the spotlight onto the evidence they can no longer ignore. Make your statement before April 27, 2025.
Actions:
Why We Cannot Stay Silent
Phase 2 of the Royal Commission of Inquiry claims to focus on key decisions during New Zealand’s covid-19 response. While the government won’t willingly look in the mirror, we have an opportunity to make sure our voices are too loud to ignore. If enough of us speak out, the narrative of harm, coercion and betrayal can no longer be swept aside.
The government may not hold decision-makers accountable, but your voice is crucial to ensure the record reflects the untold struggles of Kiwis like you. This isn’t just about documenting what happened—it’s about demanding they address what they’d rather dismiss. This process could be seen as the first step towards accountability.

Why Phase 1 Failed (And Why Phase 2 Matters)
Phase 1 paved the way for excuses. It blamed “uncertainty” and “evolving evidence” for measures that tore apart our society, destroyed livelihoods and fractured public trust. It praised lockdowns, ignored vaccine harms and silenced dissent. With no public hearings and a lack of transparency, it served as a government-approved script meant to smooth over a very rough reality.
Phase 2 could be different. With its focus on vaccines, mandates, lockdowns and public health policy, this stage holds the potential to document what Phase 1 ignored—your truth.
This is our chance to demand answers:
- Why were vaccines with known risks forced on New Zealanders under the guise of safety?
- How did mandates and lockdowns destroy families, communities and mental health?
- What harm was caused by censorship and silencing critical voices such as medical professionals?
While there’s no guarantee the Commission will act, the more of us who speak, the harder it will be for them to skirt accountability.
What You Can Speak Out On in Phase 2
Phase 2 is tasked with reviewing government decisions from February 2021 to October 2022 in these key areas:
Vaccines
Key decisions about approval process, safety monitoring and adverse reactions. Mandates that divided the nation and tore apart lives.
Lockdowns
Key decisions about the national and Auckland/Northland lockdowns of 2021. The social and economic consequences.
Public Health Tools
Key decisions on using testing, tracing and other interventions. The role of private businesses—did profits come before people?
These are the stories it is important for them to hear and they can’t ignore them. Your perspective can ensure these topics are assessed truthfully and without omission.
Why Speaking Out Matters
We’ve seen before what silence allows: poor decisions go unchecked and those responsible face no repercussions. Your story is a vital piece of the record and together we can force transparency.
Your voice can:
- Expose how mandates splintered families, crushed livelihoods and harmed mental health.
- Highlight how vaccine safety concerns were dismissed and adverse reactions were brushed aside.
- Shine a light on the flawed lockdown policies that devastated our economy and society.
- Demonstrate the extent of death and harm wreaked by the covid response.
History cannot be rewritten if we tell it.

Is Phase 2 Perfect? Absolutely Not.
This inquiry may lack public hearings, cross-examinations and accountability. But Phase 2 is different because it cannot afford to ignore the people’s truth. Unlike Phase 1, this stage will collect and assess evidence from the public — the stories you and I tell about the consequences of the covid response.
With the expanded terms of reference including the safety of the covid vaccines and the consequences of lockdowns, your voice will add weight that cannot be ignored.
We are the collective roar that the government didn’t count on.

About NZDSOS
NZDSOS is a collective of medical doctors committed to upholding ethics, transparency and the principle of “first, do no harm.” We came together during the covid-19 response to provide a voice of reason and to challenge decisions that we believed compromised public health and personal freedoms.
Our mission is simple: to protect the health and rights of individuals while advocating for medical freedom of choice. We believe that science thrives on open debate, not censorship and that informed consent is a fundamental aspect of healthcare.
At the height of the covid-19 response, we saw an alarming shift: natural immunity ignored, fear-driven policies enacted and dissenting professionals silenced. Our determination to put patients first led us to question the government’s one-sided response, highlighting the risks of lockdowns, mandates and rushed medical interventions.
But questioning came at a cost. Despite our professional expertise, we were censored, investigated and penalised for speaking out. Still, we remain firm in our commitment to New Zealanders—to expose the harms ignored or dismissed, support those affected and push for a better, more ethical approach to healthcare.
We believe that public health must be built on trust and honesty—not fear and coercion. NZDSOS stands apart from the establishment, offering a balanced perspective, based on science, integrity and a belief in personal choice.
The truth matters. Together, we can ensure it’s never silenced. Will you stand with us?
