The Importance of Speaking Out in Phase 2 Of NZ’s Inquiry – RCI Phase 2 Action Launch
It’s Dr Cindy de Villiers here with your Weekly SOS:
Recent developments at the Royal Commission of Inquiry demand our collective response.
Three senior members, including Executive Director Helen Potiki and respected legal counsel, have resigned in recent weeks.
The Department of Internal Affairs has acknowledged that “concerns have been raised” about processes at the Inquiry, though they’ve declined to provide specific details.
This may not be the perfect investigation we hoped for but we cannot let this opportunity go to waste. The power of thousands of voices cannot be easily dismissed or buried. It’s time for a collective roar.
For the first time a government-appointed body will examine vaccine safety, mandate impacts and the monitoring of adverse reactions – critical areas that Phase 1 deliberately excluded from its scope.
Minister van Velden has already called in the Chair seeking assurances about timelines and budget.
We hope she is sincere about letting the Commission do its work. Is the government concerned about what has been submitted so far?
Do these developments suggest pressure of what may be uncovered?
This is why your submission is vital. One voice might be overlooked, but thousands create a record that demands acknowledgment.
When we flood the Commission with our collective experiences – specific dates, names, diagnoses, and personal impacts – we create an undeniable body of evidence.
We’ve set up a dedicated action page to help you provide your statement on how the covid response affected you before the 27 April 2025 deadline. Even a brief 100-word account matters when joined with thousands of others.
Help us track the submissions by copying your feedback to us using the instructions and form on our action page.
You can use our letter template to craft your statement. If a letter format is not for you, you can also record a video, audio statement or a presentation.
This process could be seen as a step towards accountability. But only if many of us speak up.
Let’s ensure the truth is recorded.
In health and freedom,
Dr Cindy de Villiers

P.S. Need help preparing your statement? We’ve included our letter template on the action page for you to use. But if you need more help, reply for assistance with specific details that might strengthen your statement.
