The Countdown Is On: RCI Phase 2 Report – February 26

In just under a week, the Royal Commission of Inquiry will release its Phase 2 report on the covid-19 vaccination programme.

This is the moment many of us have been waiting for. The question on everyone’s mind: will the report reflect the evidence presented, or will it fall short of what New Zealanders deserve?

NZDSOS presented hundreds of pages of evidence to the Commission, covering vaccine safety, pharmacovigilance failures, informed consent violations, and thousands of excess deaths that followed the rollout. Our doctors gave their evidence and our community showed up with their own information and experiences.

In the past week alone, your sharing of personal stories from the Truth Project has reached over 200,000 additional views on Facebook, with thousands more engaging on X.

Issues We’re Tracking And Want You To Know About

The Battle for the Soul of Medicine: Caroline vs Goliath

1. Dr Caroline Wheeler

Last week, NZDSOS team members attended the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal hearing for Dr Caroline “Yashu” Wheeler in Nelson. The room had to be rearranged to accommodate the remarkable number of supporters who turned out.

Dr Wheeler has been found guilty of serious professional misconduct for prescribing ivermectin for covid-19 – a medication that was never banned, only “not recommended” by the GP College. It is a legal distinction the tribunal chose to look past. Her case, five years in the making, has had a chilling effect on doctors nationwide, and it is far from the last tribunal we will see this year.

This article reflects on what her case represents: a system that has prized protocol over clinical judgement, institutional loyalty over patient care, and conformity over the courage to question.

It is a battle being fought not just for Dr Wheeler, but for the future of medicine in New Zealand.

A Criminal Act: The Killing of Informed Consent

2. Killing Consent

A powerful new scholarly article has just been published by linguistics professor Daniel Broudy and molecular biologist Jun Ueda in the journal Propaganda in Focus. We have written a companion piece for NZDSOS walking through its significance.

The article traces the history of informed consent from the Nuremberg Code to the present day and examines how it was systematically violated during the covid-19 vaccination programme. It profiles the undisclosed presence of DNA plasmid contamination, including SV40 sequences, and the switch between the clinical trial product and what was actually administered to the public.

The conclusion is direct: what occurred constitutes prosecutable fraud.

As the Gene Technology Bill continues through Parliament, this piece is essential reading.

Watch: ‘My Covid Story’ — A New Zealand Documentary

3. My Covid Story

Award-winning filmmaker Grant Dixon has released My Covid Story, a feature-length documentary tracing the impact of lockdowns, mandates, and the vaccination programme through the eyes of one Kiwi family.

Grant, whose wife was a community nurse forced out of her role due to vaccine mandates, initially supported the government’s measures, but quickly smelt a rat. What he witnessed over the following five years changed everything.

The film tracks the reality many of us lived through — from isolation, family separation, job loss, to the Wellington convoy and the mounting toll captured in official statistics. It has already won awards for Best Editing and Best Message at the 2025 Top Indie Film Awards.

As the Royal Commission’s final report approaches, this documentary stands as an important record of what actually happened to everyday New Zealanders.

Lifting The Lid: An Open Reply to Chris Bishop MP

4. Lifting the Lid

Guest writer Mary Hobbs has penned a pointed open reply to National’s Campaign Chairman, Chris Bishop MP, after receiving his weekly political mailout.

Her response is direct. National’s “five things you may have missed” did not mention the ongoing administration of the covid injection, the Gene Technology Bill, the Digital ID, or the erosion of rights under the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act. Mary lays out 14 reasons why trust in Parliament has broken down, across all sides of the House.

It is a passionate call for honesty and genuine representation. Whether you lean left, right, or nowhere in particular, Mary’s letter captures a frustration shared by many New Zealanders who feel unheard and see what’s coming.
