Dr McCann Class Action – TGA suggests it has no duty of care!
Dr Melissa McCann and her c-19 vaccine injury class action lawsuit will be in court early next week for a preliminary hearing.
Dr McCann, former pharmacist turned GP was initially on board with the Australian government’s covid response but in late 2021 as the mandates approached and increasing numbers of her patients got vaccinated, she heard the same question repeatedly. Do you think my new symptoms (blood clot, miscarriage, stroke, heart attack, neurological condition, undiagnosable issue etc.) could be caused by the vaccine I got at the pharmacy last week?
She decided to look into the safety monitoring data of the Australian Therapeutic Goods Association (TGA) and was horrified by what she could see in terms of adverse events. She wrote multiple letters to officials but was even more perturbed by their responses which dismissed the overwhelming safety concerns present, which included the deaths of children. The responses of the authorities did not align with her knowledge of how safety monitoring of medication should be undertaken.
She has since commenced a class action seeking compensation for the vaccine injured, deceased and bereaved in Australia and is representing nearly 2000 people.
The hearing early next week is taking place because the TGA want summary dismissal of the case on the basis that the TGA, when it authorised the covid vaccine, had no duty of care to the Australian people.
According to Dr McCann the TGA have not denied or challenged the science, the medical content of the claim or the allegations made of the harm caused, they are simply saying that no-one can owe a duty of care to the entire Australian population!
Medsafe is the New Zealand equivalent of the TGA.
