There’s a reason why those who have experienced regimes, such as the apartheid regime, are triggered by what’s going on. They’ve lived this before.

As a German citizen pointed out today, language is being subverted with talk of “the hard yards for covid freedoms”, eerily reminiscent of “Arbeit Macht Frei”. The tactic of regimes using the media to create a common enemy is not new.
